Run a Tournament That Runs Itself: Registration, Tickets, and Brackets in One Place

By RecLynk Team • July 18, 2026

Creating a tournament on RecLynk means building an event through a 7-step flow. Book a real venue right inside the flow, sell tiered spectator tickets, and set entry fees for individual and team tracks.

The 7-step Create Event flow

  1. Type and sport — choose Tournament and pick your sport(s).
  2. Basic info — title, description, age range, public/private, and dates.
  3. Venue and schedule — pick a location or book a real venue with hourly rates.
  4. Registration — enable Individual and/or Team tracks with fees, capacity, deadlines, approvals, and waivers.
  5. Spectator tickets — create tiers like General, VIP, and Early Bird with price, quantity, and sales windows.
  6. Sessions and schedule — add games with labels like "Round 1."
  7. Custom questions — text, dropdown, number, or checkbox, with optional paid add-ons and required flags.

After launch: running the tournament

Manage the free-agent pool and assign teams, run the bracket with live scoring, collect outstanding balances at QR-code check-in, distribute prizes through the platform, and generate branded shareable graphics.
