As kids, nobody scheduled connection. The field was whatever patch of grass we found, the teams were whoever showed up, and the only question that mattered was whether we were playing today.

Then we moved cities, started jobs, and changed routines. Now finding people to play with takes more effort than playing. Group chats stall. Games fall through. Leagues feel like a bigger commitment than we have.

So the thing that used to bring people together without trying gets pushed aside — not because we stopped wanting it, but because making it happen became work.
